Welcome to Suffolk Care Association
Suffolk Care Association (SCA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting social care providers across Suffolk and North East Essex. We offer expert advice, access to knowledge, and practical support to help care businesses thrive in an ever-evolving sector.
Our Mission
We aim to empower care providers by fostering collaboration, offering tailored support, and championing high-quality care throughout our region.
What We Do
Partnership & Advocacy:
In partnership with Adult Community Services at Suffolk County Council, SCA plays a key role in the Joint Suffolk Care Partnership (JSCP). This collaborative forum provides a unified platform to address care-related issues affecting residents across Suffolk.
Training & Development:
We facilitate access to a wide range of training and professional development opportunities—designed to enhance the skills of your workforce and strengthen your organisation.
Business Support & Funding Advice:
SCA offers up-to-date information and guidance on funding streams, regulatory changes, and emerging business opportunities within the social care sector.
Networking & Collaboration:
We create opportunities for providers to connect, share best practices, and develop joint solutions to industry challenges through our network of members and partners.
Sector Representation:
SCA hosts quarterly JSCP meetings, bringing together our Steering Group, Board members, and senior representatives from Adult Community Services, local government, health partners, and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). These meetings serve as a vital forum for discussing sector developments and influencing local strategy and policy.

"Being a Member of Suffolk Care Association helps us have a collective provider voice in Suffolk. Many issues/difficulties in the private sector are universal, and having a member body to explore and support with these challenges can be extremely helpful"

"The training provided by Suffolk Care Association covers a wide range of topics, including quintessentially British foods and their preparation. This not only helps our carers adapt to local culinary preferences but also fosters a deeper connection with the communities they serve. By incorporating practical skills into their training, this ensures that carers are well-equipped to provide culturally sensitive and personalised care to those they serve"
